Wandering Pines
"Not until we are lost do we begin to understand ourselves"
- Henry David Thoreau
Welcome, Friend
I am very glad our paths crossed here, this small collection of pieces of the world that have - when I was still enough to let them - clung to me.
Some are from places, more are from people, and still others are from those moments whose silence or chaos drew me beyond myself to see just a little more.
Of course, the very best of these pieces live only in nebulous memories and wonderful smells. Unable to fit their entirety into a camera frame, and too immersed in them to try, sometimes an extra breath is everything and enough.
But for the times I am able to capture a part of those experiences, even something a little less becomes a waypoint back to where I let myself wander and explore and stumble across something special.
These here are a few of the signposts from my wanderings, from those few times I let myself get lost away from the usual hum and into that forest of undetermined paths, and I am glad to be sharing them with you.
